Introduction
Our main priority at Halo Dogs is the welfare of your dogs, our customers and our team. To this end we seek to make our services as safe and secure as possible. Please advise us of any concerns you may have regarding the following so that we may seek to accommodate your needs as best we can.
Day care
We will pre-assess your dog for suitability of socialising with other dogs at day care. Please provide us with as much information about your dog as possible including any behavioural problems so we can do our best to accommodate you. An upfront behaviour fee may be required, refundable after the initial sessions.
Please advise us of any previous aggression your dog has shown towards people or other dogs or of any veterinary or behaviour change in your dog that may affect their interaction with people or other dogs.
Please advise us if your dog has had any issues with food or toy possession.
We provide a safe and secure environment for dogs as far as reasonably possible. Please be advised however that there are reasonable risks involved when dogs interact with other dogs or when using equipment.
Please ensure that your dog is fully vaccinated and that you provide us with up-to-date vaccination records. Please also ensure that your dog is up-to-date with flee and worming treatment.
We require that all dogs (male and female) be neutered unless under 6 months of age. Dogs under 6 months of age displaying sexual behaviour must be neutered. Please advise us if there is a reason that your dog cannot be neutered and we will do our best to accommodate you. We cannot accept bitches in season however we can provide walking and sitting services.
In the case of an emergency you authorise us to seek veterinary care as appropriate. You agree to accept full responsibility for the cost of all veterinary care and to settle any fees directly with the veterinarian involved.
We are happy to feed your dog in day care in which case you may either bring your own food with full instructions or alternatively we can provide food from our range of: Burns, The Natural Dog Food Company or Nature Diet.
We will collect your dog from your property in the morning and will return him in the afternoon. Times may vary due to circumstances beyond our control.
You will need to provide us with keys to your property for our collection service.
Dogs will be exercised and socialised on and off lead with other dogs in the secure environment of our premises. Dogs may be split into small groups as required for the welfare of all dogs.
We provide the day care service from Monday to Friday excluding bank holidays. A weekend or bank holiday service may be provided by prior arrangement, subject to availability.
Please be aware that occasionally dogs that are new to day care may initially experience separation anxiety when away from you. Rest assured that we will do our utmost to help them settle in.
Walking
We will pre-assess your dog for suitability of walking and socialising with other dogs. Please provide us with as much information about your dog as possible including any behavioural problems so we can do our best to accommodate you. An upfront behaviour fee may be required, refundable after the initial sessions.

We will meet with you and your dog or cat before your departure. Please provide us with as much information about your dog or cat as possible during this session, including any behavioural problems so we can do our best to accommodate you. An upfront behaviour fee may be required, refundable after the initial sessions.
Please advise us of any previous aggression your dog or cat has shown towards people or any veterinary or behaviour change in their dog that may affect their interaction with people.
Please advise us if your dog has had any issues with food or toy possession.

We will visit your dog or cat at your property at the pre-agreed time and will socialise them for at least one hour. We will change their water and will feed them if required. Please provide food for your dog with full instructions. We will let your dog out into the garden, if required and clean up after them.
You will need to provide us with keys to your property for our sitting service.
This service is provided Monday to Friday excluding bank holidays. A weekend or bank holiday service may be provided by prior arrangement, subject to availability.
Residential training
We will pre-assess your dog for suitability of socialising with other dogs in residential training. Please provide us with as much information about your dog as possible during this session, including any behavioural problems so we can do our best to accommodate you. An upfront behaviour fee may be required, refundable after the initial sessions.
Please advise us of any previous aggression your dog has shown towards people or other dogs or of any veterinary or behaviour change in their dog that may affect their interaction with people or other dogs.

We will collect your dog from your property at a pre-arranged time. We provide residential training on a full week basis but will seek to accommodate your needs as best we can.
We may exercise, socialise and train your dog on or off lead with other dogs on our premises.
We will train your dog on a daily basis and work at the level most suitable for him/her. Please be aware that dog training is an ongoing process which we will progress for you, however your dog will require ongoing training from you once returned.
Please be aware that dogs that are new to residential training may initially experience separation anxiety when away from you. Rest assured that we will do our best to help them settle in.
Please note that the fee for our residential training is solely for the training. There is no fee for the residential aspect.
Individual training or agility
Please provide us with as much information about your dog as possible including any behavioural problems so we can do our best to assist you.
Please advise us of any previous aggression your dog has shown towards people or other dogs or of any veterinary or behaviour change in their dog that may affect their interaction with people or other dogs.
Please advise us if your dog has had any issues with food or toy possession.

Please ensure that your dog is fit and healthy enough for agility and confirm this with your vet if necessary.
You are welcome to bring children to participate in training or agility but they must be accompanied by an adult.
Group training or agility
Please provide us with as much information about your dog as possible including any behavioural problems so we can do our best to accommodate you.
Please advise us of any previous aggression your dog has shown towards people or other dogs or of any veterinary or behaviour change in their dog that may affect their interaction with people or other dogs.
Please advise us if your dog has had any issues with food or toy possession.

Please ensure that your dog is fit and healthy enough for agility or training and confirm this with your vet if necessary.
You are welcome to bring children to participate in training or agility but they must be accompanied by an adult.
General
We will provide a safe and secure environment for dogs as far as reasonably possible. Please be advised however that there are reasonable risks involved when dogs interact with other dogs or when using equipment. These risks may include but not be limited to injury to your dog, another dog or person which may result from dogs biting, fighting, being handled, trained or transported.
Please advise us of any relevant veterinary conditions.
Please advise us of any problematic behaviours or behaviour change in your dog.
Dogs that are new to our services may experience a higher level of physical and mental activity than they are used to. This may initially result in tiredness or aching muscles on their return to you. We provide our services on our farmland therefore you should expect your dog to get dirty and possibly hair to get matted. We provide a grooming service, if required for an addition fee.
Your dog must wear a flat collar at all times and have an identification tag and arrive with a regular lead (not extendable lead). We highly recommend that your dog is Microchipped. We can provide this service, if required for an additional fee.
We require a 50% deposit to be paid at the point of booking to reserve your place. The remaining balance to be paid at provision of service. We accept cash and cheques with a valid guarantee card. We accept Credit / Debit cards using the PayPal service (www.paypal.co.uk). This payment method requires pre-payment. Please confirm with us before you use a service should you wish to pay using PayPal.
Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours before scheduled provision of service otherwise the full service fee will be charged.
In the event of a dog being abandoned with us we will endeavour to contact you using all contact details provided. Abandoned dogs will be handed over to the local authority dog warden at which point all further dealings regarding recovery of the dog must be with them.
You need to complete an application form before any services can be provided to you or your dog. Please advise us of any relevant changes to your circumstances.
Provision of any services implies that you have understood and agreed to these terms and conditions.
We may withdraw services from any customer or dog at any time without prior warning or reason given.
These terms and conditions may be subject to change at any time without prior notification.
We will not share your details with other organisations however we do routinely provide information to your vet out of professional courtesy. Please advise us if you would prefer us not to do so. |
